Prayer


Prayer in God’s Word is central to the Psalm Drummers ministry.

We are calling drummers to prayer, both in words and in the spirit, using drums as a voice through which to make intercession. We believe drums can be a powerful weapon in the language of prayer.

We have intercessors linked to the ministry and regional groups pray over network activities. We are rallying drummers across the world in prayer.

  1. Prayer cover for the Trustees and their famillies.
  2. Prayer for clarity, wisdom and unity for Psalm Drummer leaders and group hosts.
  3. Prayer for the favour and resources to serve the missions and ministry.
  4. Prayer cover for event teams and workshop facilitators.

These two verses (below) have been particulary important for us since Psalm Drummers establishment in 1996. They speak of God’s heart of love that reaches out to all (depicted in our star and heart logo) - and also His mission and call for us to declare His name in all the earth.

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3: 14-19 (NIV)

The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad! Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about. His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory. Psalm 97: 1-6 (NKJ)
